Kristin Davis doesn’t want children because she gets to be a mother on screen. The actress, who has reprised her role as married mom-of-two Charlotte York Goldenblatt for another ‘Sex and the City’ movie, says the playing the character gives her all the experience of domestic bliss she needs.
She said: “I have just spent the day with my fake children. I get to do Charlotte’s days at home with the dogs and the kids and living her life. I love it.”
The 44-year-old star – who is believed to be dating photographer Russell James – admits people struggle to understand she is different from her on-screen alter ego and can’t understand why she doesn’t want to marry.
She added to Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald newspaper:
“We definitely don’t share the focus on marriage and there have been some strange things written about me. I once went to a wedding and the next week there were stories with headlines like ‘Kristin gives up on her dream of marriage’, which was never something I was focused on. I am not goal-orientated like that. When I say no to being photographed, people get surprised because they expect me to be nice like Charlotte.”

Below is a clip from the upcoming movie, Couples Retreat. The clip comes out courtesy of MSN. The clip is titled “Sounds Like Therapy”. It features the scene wherein Kristen Bell’s Cynthia makes use of PowerPoint to convince her friends on joining her and her partner on the Eden Trip.
“Couples Retreat” follows four Midwestern couples who embark on a journey to a tropical island resort. One of the couples is there to work on their marriage, while the other three set out to have fun in the sun. But, they soon discover that their group-rate vacation comes at a price and participation in the resort’s couples therapy is not optional. Released on October 9, 2009.
‘Sex And The City’ Ladies Going to Morocco

The ladies of Sex And The City are heading to Morocco for the sequel after Dubai officials blocked plans for the quartet to shoot there. Producers had hoped to shoot several scenes in the United Arab Emirates, but they were was denied permission because film bosses feared the movie was too racy for the Middle East.
Instead, scenes for the sequel will be shot in the Moroccan cities of Erfoud, Rabat and Marrakech, according to Life & Style magazine.

Despite rumors of past tensions, all is well on the set of the new “Sex and the City” movie. According to Kim Cattrall, working with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis is nothing but good times.
“Working with the three women is so easy,” she told People Magazine at the Artists for Peace and Justice fundraiser in Toronto. “I mean seven years of doing the series and the first movie and now two years later being back feels like being home. It’s so much fun. There is a saying that you can’t go home again but on ‘Sex and the City,’ you can.”
Cattrall especially enjoyed filming an ’80s flashback scene.
“It was so much fun to relive the wild and crazy fashions of the ’80s,” Cattrall told People. “I absolutely loved the four different looks of all of us. We were all so uniquely different that we all couldn’t stop admiring our different looks. There was lots of laughing, and it was a blast!”
Of course, filming hasn’t all been smooth sailing for the actress, who plays the sumptuous, oversexed Samantha. Prying eyes caught a glimpse of her script, and reputed plot details, including an elaborate wedding scene, have been making the rounds on the Internet.
Since her offense, Cattrall has become more guarded.
“When I carry my script to the set, it’s amplified and any clue is deciphered,” she told People. “So going to work everyday, I now have to put that in a book to make sure nobody can see it.”
“Sex and The City 2″ is scheduled for release on May 28, 2010.

“Couples Retreat” Stars on Cover of Self Magazine

In the new issue of Self, three lovely stars of new movie Couples Retreat — Kristin Davis, Kristen Bell and Malin Akerman — reveal how they stay beautiful from the inside out.
“The best beauty gift I’ve ever given myself is not smoking,” shares Kristin. “I get so upset when I see girls in their 20s smoking. When you’re young, you think you’re never going to get wrinkles or cancer. I am in my 40s, and I’ve seen a lot. It’s not fun to watch your friends go through cancer.”
Beyond taking care of what you put into your body, Kristin says it’s all about feeding your self-esteem.
“If you want to summon confidence, go to yoga,” she advises. “It’s about tuning in to yourself on the inside. If you start thinking, I’m not thin enough or whatever enough, you can tune back into that powerful place. It gives you a sense of your self.”
Kristen is a beauty product connoisseur, but the current voice of Gossip Girl says she feels beautiful when she puts down the mascara and picks up the phone to call her funny friends.
“I’m blessed with a comedy troupe of hysterically funny friends,” reveals Kristen. “They can make you laugh all day. As I grow older, I’m learning that if you’re happy on the inside, it will show.”
For Malin, telling someone else they look good is what gives her a glow.
“Give a person a compliment,” advises Malin. “If you see a beautiful woman, tell her! Say, ‘You look beautiful tonight!’ It’s incredible coming from another woman. Then you feel good because you’ve made someone else feel good. I don’t know why there’s this competition among women. Why tear each other down when we can be supporting each other and wanting each and every one of us to be our best? I wish women could just cut it out and feel like we have each other’s back instead. It would be such an amazing world.”

While producers are doing their best to keep plot details for Sex and the City 2 under wraps, some details are already starting to emerge. WARNING: SPOILER ALERT BELOW
It is widely reported that Carrie’s marriage to Mr Big, played by Chris Noth, will run into trouble.
The mogul is expected to suffer financial problems as a result of the economic crisis and is forced to move aboard. ‘Their marriage is going to face lots of challenges,’ an insider has revealed. ‘Big will be tempted by a younger colleague.’High-flying PR executive Samantha is also expected to be hit by the effects of the recession. ‘The proposed story line for Samantha will be her having to downsize her big-spending life after some of her investments get wiped out,’ the insider reveals. ‘You will see her having to survive on a more modest budget but still staying true to her fabulous taste.’
She is also rumoured to face another cancer battle while Miranda is said to quit her job in law to open a restaurant.
And, according to reports, Charlotte suspects Harry of cheating causing her to move out of the apartment.
Sex and the City 2 is scheduled to be released May 2010.

Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau are back together again, but this time they’re not scouring Vegas for beautiful babies, they’re headed to Bora Bora for a ‘Couples Retreat’ (opening Oct. 9). In the comedy penned by Vaughn and Favreau, Jason Bateman and Kristen Bell, hoping to amend their fractured relationship, invite their friends — three couples including Vaughn and Malin Akerman, Favreau and Kristin Davis, and Faizon Love and Kali Hawk — to a resort that offers a number of couples exercises. It’s not until they arrive that they find out that they must take part in the hours of therapy and dreadful bonding exercises, or get off the island.
Moviefone will be sitting down with the entire cast of ‘Couples Retreat’ for video interviews (and a little therapy of our own) next week — and they want you to give us the questions to ask.

“Sex and the City” Helped Tyra Banks Lose Weight

The American model who had come under fire from the media for gaining weight, spiced up her exercise routine by watching the cult series when she hit the treadmill, reported Us magazine.
“I got rid of one of my couches in my living room and I watched Sex and The City episodes on the treadmill or the elliptical. So Sex and the City lasts 30 minutes, that’s how long I’m on the elliptical,” said the former Victoria’s Secret model.
But the 35-year-old model added that she disliked the media attention received by her weight loss, as the issue was blown out of proportion.
“The media started taking notice and showing pictures of before and after of me losing weight, and I felt kind of exposed because I wasn’t trying to proclaim to the world, ‘I got fit and I got healthy and I got in shape,” said Banks.
Kristin Davis Collection Discontinued

Sex and the City star Kristin Davis was supposed to show her official spring line of the Kristin Davis Collection on Sunday, September 13. But a representative tells us that the actress canceled the show late last week, owing to the mutual decision she made with Belk department stores to discontinue her line.
The actress created the line of apparel, accessories, and shoes specifically with Belk in 2008, and it was the only retailer to carry the items. The fall 2009 collection will be the last available in stores.
“We both understand that the challenges of the economic and retail environment have led to even more close evaluations and adjustments in order to meet our changing customer needs and shopping patterns,” wrote Kathryn Bufano, Belk’s president of merchandise and marketing, in a statement.
However, Davis has hopes to continue her line, just not with Belk:
“I’m looking forward to taking my brand in a new direction and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.”
Kristin ‘Excited’ to Be on the Sex and the City Set

Kristin Davis has admitted that she was “so excited” to return to the set of Sex And The City. The actress, who plays Charlotte York-Goldenblatt in the franchise, began production on the highly-anticipated sequel to last summer’s movie earlier this month.
Speaking to Us Weekly, she said: “We are so happy and so excited to get back together. The best thing about this is getting to be with your girlfriends 18 hours a day and eating lunch and dinner together every day, which nobody gets to do in their lives.”
Discussing her character’s storyline, she said: “[Charlotte] has two kids now. We’ll have to see what that’s like for her. The first movie was all pent-up things we hadn’t finished in the show. Now we’re just starting fresh, in a way. It’s a new adventure!”
She added that the current recession would feature in the movie, explaining: “If you think about the show, we always tried to be in sync with New York and the country. It’s not like we tried to pretend 9/11didn’t happen. That would be crazy.”
Davis’s co-star Kim Cattrall previously admitted that it has been a “blast” to film the sequel, which is due in cinemas on May 28, 2010.
Chris Noth (Mr. Big) Gets Engaged

Sex And The City actor Chris Noth has got engaged to his long-term partner Tara Lynn Wilson, according to reports. The star – who plays Carrie Bradshaw’s husband Big in the film versions of the TV series – recently proposed to his partner Tara Lynn Wilson, and they are now planning their big day. The couple broke news of their engagement at a fashion show over the weekend, where Tara was sporting a large diamond engagement ring.
A source said: “It all happened very recently. This is the first time they’ve appeared in public with her wearing that huge diamond.”
Further details of the impending nuptials have not been released. Chris, 54, and Tara have been dating since 2004. They have 19-month-old son Orion together.
Chris is currently shooting the Sex And The City movie sequel in New York. SPOILER ALERT: The plot of the new film is a closely-guarded secret, although it has been claimed it will see Big and Carrie struggling financially due to the worldwide recession and have to move in with Charlotte York Goldenblatt – played by Kristin Davis – and her husband Harry.
