Kristin Davis was glad to get away from New York to shoot scenes for Sex and the City 2. The actress — who plays Carrie Bradshaw’s pal Charlotte in the TV show and film franchise — admits fans make it difficult to film in the Big Apple.

“I wouldn’t say it’s annoying but it is intense in New York,” she said. “Sometimes it’s tiring because you can be working on the street and everyone wants to talk to you. There were so many tourists.”

Davis, 45, recently admitted Sex and the City boosted her career — but insisted she’d have got on fine without it.

“I think I would have done okay without it, but I don’t think any of us would have had this kind of career at this age if it hadn’t been for the larger thing Sex and the City turned out to be, culturally,” she said. “I do feel incredibly lucky.”
