With “Sex and the City 2″ coming to theaters May 27, fictional fashionista Carrie Bradshaw is ready to once again rule the box-office. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga continues ruling the music charts, similarly inspiring gawkers and grins with her always unpredictable looks.

Recently, when MTV caught up with the “SATC” girls, they asked: Is Gaga the real-life Carrie Bradshaw?

When we saw photos of SJP et al on set of the second SATC film, our excitement reached fever point. Samantha in a wedding dress? 80s flashbacks? We were more thrilled than Carrie in a Jimmy Choo store. Here Kristin Davis aka Charlotte gives us the behind-the-scenes goss…

‘Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and I are all close in different ways and we’ve all been together now forever. It’s hard to describe what it’s like to be able to have gone through the crazy, crazy journey that is Sex And The City together. There is no one else we could turn to and talk about “remember when”. We have years of crazy experiences together. And you can’t recreate that with anybody, you can’t even pull anybody else into it. So I have different relationships with each of them and they have with each other. We’re all in touch in different ways, which is obviously different than being together in a group. It’s hard to all meet up when we’re off because Kim’s in England and Sarah is at the beach and we’re all so busy.

But this time, we managed to see a lot of one another before we were on the SATC movie set, because we had a lot of pre-production things to do. We did our read-through of the script, just like we used to do for every episode of SATC. We sat in the same building, at the same table, in the same chairs we have done since 1997. That’s the part where it totally gels – it sparks. Something happens when we get in there altogether.

I like Charlotte’s style. I am into fashion because of her and the show, much more than I ever would’ve been. We have to be knowledgeable. It’s not like the stylists just go, “wear that”. It’s a collaboration that’s lengthy and involved and I like that. I had the boring outfit in the 80s flashback for the film, but it works for Charlotte. I enjoyed watching the others in their crazy versions.

I get called Charlotte all the time. But luckily Charlotte is nice and people like her, so it’s not the worst thing in the world. I also get asked if Charlotte’s pregnant in the movie, but I can’t comment. It’s a bummer. I feel the pressure. It’s hard because they came with the script and of course, we were dying to get it. And we knew the bigger ideas, but we couldn’t wait to get the actual script in our hands. So someone from New Line Cinema drives out to the house, and they have it there in the little envelope and they won’t give it to you. They give you the three-page legal document you have to sign first and then they’ll hand it over. It’s been very hardcore, so I certainly would never want to have any lawyers calling me. Also, we want people to be surprised.

It would be fantastic and wonderful to do a third film but there are nutty rumours as you know – someone told us on the set “Oh, apparently we’re shooting both 2 and 3 right now”. We were like “Wow! Very impressive”. So I don’t know anything about it.’

A role a world away from Charlotte
‘When I was approached for Couples Therapy it was a surprise to me anyone would be casting any of the four of us that way. I was excited as Lucy’s so different, a departure for me. I knew Jon Favreau (right) and Vince Vaughn, and sometimes it takes another actor to see you can do other things. I’ve never done couples therapy myself, but I’ve had therapy, and it’s great. It helped me when I used to audition. Sometimes I’d have 12 auditions a day as I did a lot of commercials. So it helped counteract some of the negativity because they’re like, “She’s not pretty enough… she’s not tall enough… she’s not thin enough… she’s not this…” I just needed someone to keep my head on.’
